Just had a chance to view your site for the first time, thank you for the mini escape from corporate life (yuk!). Your journey brings feelings of jealously and motivation…many blessings!

I’ve been following your adventure and it is truly incredible. By week’s end you should be in Uganda and I am sure it will steal your heart as it did mine. The people of Uganda live up to their reputation as Africa’s friendliest – yet they suffer so much from poverty, disease, and rebel activities. Your contribution here will certainly make a difference. All the best. Tom

You don’t know me. I work with a guy named Paul Mahfouz who, as I understand it, knows Matt from highschool. Paul was speaking of you and your journey to a group of us at work and I asked him to forward your site to me. I was so moved by your calling and this journey that I sent your site to anyone I knew who might be inspired. As it turns out, they were all just as inspired as I was. We now email each other to discuss your journey and the many things you are encountering. God bless you and keep you safe. I envy your courage and your faith and your selflessness. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. Christa Far

Hey Amy! Just checking in on you guys and wanted to say hello. I am not sure if you have heard, but I am leaving NHC Place and will be doing home care with NHC Home Health in Franklin and probably out of a few other offices. So crazy to think about leaving this place, but God’s hand is in it all and I have a real peace about it. I will keep checking in and praying for yall!

    Hey Matt & Amy!

How are you doing? Hope you had a safe journey to Sudan – I look forward to your journal and photos.

I recall Matt posting on FB recently, inquiring about volunteer opportunities in India. In don’t know of a specific opportunity, but I do know of a website that links volunteers with openings around the globe — I met several other travellers/volunteers in the Middle East who had used this site and were pleased with it.

Best of luck and safe travels!

    Kay (from Cappadocia :-))

Amy… how is it possible that you don’t ever seem to be wearing the same clothes in any pictures? how much can you fit in that back pack? Glad you are feeling better, you are one tough chick!
