“I need Africa more than Africa needs me”

There is a saying used in Nashville by an organization, The Mocha Club, that I never fully understood until now – “I need Africa more than Africa needs me”. The people of Uganda have been the most loving and caring individuals I have ever met. Their smiles will light up a room and their greetings are genuine and pure.

Over the past several day we have been able to visit many of the different ways that God is at work in this country. Clinics in the rural bush, vocational schools teaching the young men and women of Uganda how to be “Job Makers” not “Job Seekers” and  hospitals that overflow with patience yet provide a place for care. I knew coming in my life would be changed but didnt imagine it happening in such a short time. DAY 5 of a 90 day life changing experience.

Yes there is a lot of work still to be done here and I pray we will be shining lights to this already bright country.

Tonight (fingers crossed) we will be able to post some pictures of what some call the pearl of Africa.

God’s Blessings on you both as you follow God’s will NOt your own. Your lives will be transformed and as you can see, you are receiving the blessings that you thought you would be providing to the people of Africa
